Salary reduction and a penalty clause behind the hand union’s approval to bring Barondo between the national team and a German club

Ayman Salah, a member of the Board of Directors of the Interim Committee of the Handball Federation, revealed that an agreement had been reached with Spanish coach Roberto Barondo Garcia to reduce his salary and set a penalty clause to agree to combine the national team's training with a German club, while setting conditions to protect the team's right.

Salah said in a statement to The Seventh Day that Al-Ittihad reached with Barondo to implement all the plans to prepare the Pharaohs for the African Championship, including his presence in the international week and the foreign team camps, stressing that the Ministry has notified the acceptance of this temporary situation and is awaiting the final response.

Ayman Salah explained that the Spanish national team coach, Roberto Garcia, is continuing his work until the upcoming African Handball Nations Championship, and he has a contract that ends next June.

The national team is participating in the African Cup of Nations and is the holder of the last championship title 2020 at the expense of the Tunisian team, and the team holds 7 African championships for the past two years.
