Germany announces more than 100 million euros in aid to support Palestine


At the conclusion of the annual consultations between the Palestinian and German governments, Germany pledged to provide aid to Palestine worth more than 100 million euros over two years.


Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said, "We are proud of the friendship and cooperation relationship with Germany, as it is the largest donor in the field of development and UNRWA."


He added: "In line with the national development plan and the development of clusters, German aid will cover support for vital projects in the following sectors: local government and municipalities, including Palestinian communities in Area C), the basic and higher education sector, especially vocational and technical education, the water and sanitation sector, renewable energy and agriculture. The economic and employment sector, especially youth and women, and support for the private sector.
