Fatah movement calls on the international community to pressure Israel to hold elections in Jerusalem

Today, Thursday, the Central Committee of the "Fatah" movement renewed its call for the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation government to allow the Palestinian general elections to be held in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

During its meeting in Ramallah, the committee stressed that Jerusalem is like the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, given that East Jerusalem is an integral part of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967, and is the eternal capital of the State of Palestine.

The first phase of local elections is scheduled to take place on the eleventh of December.

The Fatah Center saluted the steadfast Palestinian people stationed in the occupied city of Jerusalem, who with their bare chests are facing the malicious attempts of the Israeli occupation to Judaize the holy city and expel its Palestinian residents, the latest of which is the so-called “Israeli settlement law”, which all Palestinian Jerusalemites unanimously reject and not deal with. As an Israeli scheme to change the features of the city of Jerusalem.

The Central Committee warned against the continued Israeli incursions into Islamic and Christian holy sites under the protection of the occupation army and police, stressing that the attempt to raise the Israeli flag in the squares of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by settlers is a red line that cannot be tolerated, and that continuing this policy threatens to ignite the region and a religious war that cannot be tolerated. Nobody bears the consequences.
