A fire in a popular market in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and the Civil Defense intervenes


Today, Monday, the Civil Defense Directorate announced the control of a fire incident in the Maridi market, east of the capital, Baghdad.


The directorate said in a statement, received by Alsumaria News, that its teams on the Al-Rusafa side of Baghdad "were able to control and put out a fire incident that broke out inside three (bypass) kiosks built of tin used to sell mobile accessories inside the Maridi market."


The statement added that its teams "conquered the fire without recording human casualties, while limiting its material damage."
