Al-Ahly thanks the Portuguese Palma, the coach of the basketball team, and is looking for his successor

Al-Ahly’s board of directors assigned Raouf Abdel Qader, director of sports activity, to nominate coaches to choose any of them for the first “men” basketball team to take over the task in the new season, after thanking Portuguese coach Mario Palma after the end of his contract with the club at the end of last month.

The Al-Ahly club’s board of directors held a meeting on Wednesday at the club’s headquarters on the island, to discuss many important files related to the club’s various sectors during the next phase. After the session, the board took the following decisions:

- The Council reviewed the work plan submitted by the heads of the Al-Ahly companies’ boards of directors for each of: football, sports facilities and sports services, and the Council approved the capital of the three companies owned by the club, and the shareholding shares, while taking all necessary measures to establish these companies in the Investment Authority and issue their licenses

Approval of the purchase of medical equipment for the first football team.

- Approving the formation of the technical bodies for sports activity teams.

Adopting payment systems for collective subscription requests for club memberships, whether general membership or in the Sheikh Zayed and Fifth Settlement branches, for companies, bodies, institutions and banks.

- Approving the formation of the administrative structure of the new halls to be opened in Al-Ahly branch in Sheikh Zayed.

Assigning Raouf Abdel Qader, Director General of Sports Activity, to provide all means of support and assistance to Al-Ahly’s children participating in the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
