The Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls on the international community to expedite the convening of an international peace conference

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the international community to take measures to put an end to the historical injustice that has befallen the Palestinian people, noting that this will be achieved by accelerating the convening of an international peace conference in accordance with the initiative launched by President Mahmoud Abbas, provided that the political movement leads to ending the occupation and settlement in the Palestinian land since 1967, establishing an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The ministry added - in a statement today, Saturday, reported by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) - that the successive Israeli governments are the governments of the occupation unless the occupation and settlements end, pointing out that the Palestinian people pay a heavy price as a result of the continuation of the crimes of the occupation and the deepening and expansion of settlements, and the international silence on the continuation of the occupation. Israel, its support, and its failure to implement United Nations resolutions on the Palestinian issue.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the brutal repression perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against civilians participating in the peaceful marches rejecting settlements, the theft of Palestinian land, and the settlers' continuous attacks against the Palestinian people, their villages and towns.
