The arrival of the first tourist flights from Moscow to Aqaba Airport, Jordan

The CEO of Jordan Airports Company and Director of King Hussein International Airport, Ramzi Arafat, said that the first tourist flights from Moscow arrived at King Hussein International Airport in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, carrying 168 tourists as part of a program that will continue until the end of this year.


He added, in a statement reported by the Jordan News Agency, that these trips are the result of the efforts made by Jordan; For the return of global tourism again, especially after declaring the Golden Tourist Triangle a safe area from the Corona virus, according to intensive measures implemented by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority.


He stressed that Jordan has made great efforts to mitigate the negative effects of the pandemic on various sectors, especially the tourism sector, which is a major artery for the economy of many countries, and which was the sector most affected by the pandemic; In terms of size, breadth and a decrease in the number of tourists, which called for taking precautionary measures to ensure the return of tourist traffic and the operation of the airport as before the crisis.
