Muhammad Abdel Wahab’s mother: “I used to follow my son like Ericsson, and I would die.”


Hajja Najat, the mother of the late Al-Ahly star, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, confirmed that she remembered the fateful day in which her son died yesterday, when Ericsson, the Denmark player, fell. All people remembered Muhammad Abdel Wahab and his supplications, and I was very happy that people remembered him, but I have never forgotten him, and I was catching up like this player, he did not hide and rose.”


Muhammad Abdel-Wahhab’s mother added: “I know that this is Omar and destiny, and my son’s age has ended, but the doctors myself used to follow him, even if the return was that I would die for him.”


Mahmoud Abdel Wahab, brother of Mohamed Abdel Wahab, said in exclusive statements to “The Seventh Day”: “When Ericsson, the Denmark national team player, fell, I remembered the fateful day when my brother died. I felt that the tragedy would be repeated, but we thank God for his survival.”


The late Al-Ahly star’s brother adds: “Muhammad is my brother, never forgets. He lived with us for a long time, and we are happy that all people called him yesterday, but in our family, Muhammad Ayesh, and I named my son after his name, and my brother Ahmed named his son Muhammad as well.”

Mohamed Abdel Wahab died in the prime of his youth after a heart attack in Al-Ahly's morning training at Mukhtar Al-Teach Stadium on August 31, 2006.

At the international level, Abdel Wahab won the African Youth Cup title in Burkina Faso in 2003, and was crowned the 41st World Military Cup - Germany 2005 and was the tournament's top scorer with 3 goals. He also won the African Nations Cup title with the first Egyptian team in 2006. .
