Koeman: I feel relieved.. the past weeks have been difficult

The Dutch coach, Ronald Koeman, coach of Barcelona, ​​​​expressed his feeling of satisfaction and great happiness, after the decision of the Catalan club's management, to continue in his position until the end of his contract next summer at the end of the next season 2021-2022.

"I feel relieved to say that my players and staff can fully focus on the new season," Koeman said on his Instagram account.

Koeman continued, "The past few weeks have been difficult, but I am happy that President Laporta gave me his support and calm returned."

The Dutch coach concluded, "Everyone's focus is the same: building a winning Barcelona and achieving success."

And Barcelona announced yesterday, Thursday, that Koeman will continue to head the technical management of the Catalan team, next season, to finally bring down the curtain on the rumors of the coach’s departure from Barca, one year after his contract this summer.

Barcelona President Juan Laporta confirmed that Koeman will stay until the end of his contract next summer, during the club’s board meeting today, where he said: “We want to announce that we have agreed with Koeman to complete the contract, after a period of reflection, we reached an agreement with Koeman to continue as coach of the team ".

The Dutchman, Ronald Koeman, has a contract with Barcelona that extends until June 2022, and if his contract is terminated, he will receive 13 million euros from the Laporta administration, which was not available within the club’s treasury due to the economic crisis caused by the Corona virus.
