Karim Benzema after France's elimination from Euro 2020: I am disappointed and we will fight to come back stronger

Benzema sent a message of apology to the fans on his personal account on Twitter, saying: "Sad and disappointed at the end of the match, I wish I could continue to excite you for a long time. Thank you for your support, thank you for the strength you gave me. Nothing is Easy at all, we are struggling to prepare for the future and come back stronger."


The French national team striker, Kylian Mbappe, also apologized to the fans of his country, after losing to the Swiss team 5-4 on penalties, after the end of the original and extra time in a 3-3 draw, with many distinguished numbers, in the match that brought the two teams together on Monday evening on Arena Nacional stadium in the round of 16 of the European Nations Cup "Euro 2020".


Kylian Mbappe missed the final penalty kick for France in the match, as Switzerland qualified for the quarter-finals.


Mbappe said, through a message on his personal account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “It is very difficult to close this page, the sadness is enormous after this exit, we were unable to reach our goal, I am very sorry for wasting the penalty kick, I wanted to help the team, but I I failed, finding sleep will be difficult and unfortunately this is the dangers of the sport that I love so much."



He added: "I know the fans are disappointed, but I still need them and their support. Thank you for all the support you gave me.
