Although the responsibility of taking care of your newborn may constitute a burden and an effort on your health, especially during the first months, during which the newborn needs the necessary care in terms of nutrition and daily hygiene that helps him grow normally, but all this fatigue and effort disappears when your child takes his first steps, And he begins to develop his skills day by day.


According to a report published by the UNICEF website, there are some tips that support the mother to take care of her child during the first six months after coming to life.

Among the most prominent of those tips are the following:

1. Breastfeeding:

Breastfeeding is one of the most important gifts that the mother gives to her newborn so that it grows normally and protects it from many diseases and gives it natural immunity from any viral infection that attacks its small body.


2. The importance of interacting with the child

During the first six months, the mother must interact with her child constantly, have fun with him and smile at him, which greatly develops the child's abilities.


3. Talk to your child

Talking and singing to your child helps him develop his speech, language and auditory abilities.


4. Cuddle your newborn

Cuddling your child is a very important habit. Your child should touch your skin to feel safe, reassured and relaxed, especially before bedtime.


5. Develop his motor skills

Try to develop your child's motor skills by placing him on his tummy and drawing his attention with a toy and moving it at a distance from him to help him move his head and shoulders.


6. Develop his visual skills

Try to develop your baby's visual skills by using colorful pictures that attract his attention.

 

7. Give your child freedom of movement

Allow your child to move his arms without restricting him in a specific place so that he can develop his motor skills naturally.


8. Inclusion of foods rich in vitamins

You can include several foods for your child after the age of 4 to 6 months, taking into account that this is done gradually to monitor any reactions in your child, such as rashes, diarrhea or vomiting, and according to the American Academy of Pediatrics, there is no evidence that introducing foods such as eggs And fish after 4-6 months of age increases the risk of developing food allergies.


9. Avoid harmful foods

Avoid certain foods during this stage of your child's life such as honey, as it can carry bacteria that cause food poisoning, and also avoid not giving him cow's milk until your child is at least one year old.


10. Encourage your baby to crawl

Place toys out of reach on the floor to encourage your baby to start crawling.
