The Saudi victory snatches a thrilling draw from Foolad in the AFC Champions League


The Saudi Al-Nasr teams narrowly leveled against the Iranian Fools of Khuzestan with a positive goal for each of them in the match that was held between them on Tuesday evening, in the third round of the fourth group stage of the AFC Champions League group stage.

 

The goals of the match were scored by Abdullah Ali Al-Omari in the 52nd minute, before Al-Alamy equalized the score through Petros Matthews in the 69th minute.

 

With this result, Al-Nassr continued to lead the fourth group ranking with 5 points collected from a draw in two matches and winning in one, followed by Foulad Club with the same score and goal difference, while Al-Sadd came third with 4 points, and Al-Wehdat Al-Emirati came fourth with one point.


The Emirati unit won the Remontada at the expense of the Qatari club Al-Rayyan, and won the match with a score of 3-2.

 

Al-Rayyan found himself ahead 2-0 with goals from Shuja Zadeh in the 13th minute and Abdel Aziz Abdullah in the 54th minute, but Al-Wehda turned things around and scored 3 consecutive goals through Ida D 66, Khalil Al Hammadi, D85, and Faris Jumah, D90.

 

With this victory he elevated Al-Wehdah to second place in the group standings behind Persepolis first, leaving Al Rayyan in last place.

 

While Iranian club Persepolis overcame India’s Goa 2-1 at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa in the third round of the AFC Champions League Group E competitions.

 

Goa advanced with the goal of Eduardo Pelaez in the 13th minute, and Persepolis responded with two goals by Mehdi Turabi in the 18th minute from a penalty kick and Sayed Jalal Hosseini in the 24th minute.

 

With this victory, Iranian Persepolis maintained the top of the group standings with 9 points, compared to 4 points for Al-Wehda, the winner over Al-Rayyan, two points for Goa, and one point for Al Rayyan.

 

In the second group, the Iraqi Air Force was satisfied with a goalless draw against the Iranian Tractor, and Sharjah of the UAE won against Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan by 4 goals against a goal during the confrontation that brought them together this evening, at the Sharjah Club Stadium within the third round matches for the second group in the group stage of the AFC Champions League for clubs .

 

With this victory, Sharjah raised its score to 7 points, strengthening its lead for the group, while Pakhtakor remained at only two points in fourth place, while the Iranian Tractor advanced to second place with three points and the Iraqi Air Force third with two points.
