The Referees Committee rejects Mujahid’s recommendation to appoint a first-class referee for the Al-Ahly and Zamalek Summit


Officials of the referees committee of the Football Association headed by Wajih Ahmed rejected the recommendation of the head of the tripartite committee of the Football Association, Ahmed Mujahid, to appoint a first-class referee and not to appoint international referees for the upcoming Al-Ahly and Zamalek match in the league scheduled for May 10.


During one of the meetings, the head of the tripartite committee requested the appointment of Mahmoud Naji as a referee for the previous match between Zamalek and Al-Ahly, which was administered by international referee Mahmoud Al-Banna, but Wajih Ahmed refused to assign the match to a first-class referee, and stressed the need to assign it completely to international referees, and the same thing for the upcoming Al-Ahly and Zamalek match On May 10th.


Mohamed Adel and Amin Omar are the closest candidates to manage the upcoming Al-Ahly and Zamalek summit in the 21st round of the Premier League, to be held at Cairo International Stadium.


Al-Ahly team scored an important victory over Zamalek with two goals for one goal, during the match that brought them together last Sunday evening, at Cairo Stadium, in the postponed match of the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League competition.


Al-Ahly duo Mohamed Sharif scored in the 21st and 34th minutes, while Shikabala scored Zamalek's goal in the 31st minute.
