The AC Milan striker gives up his salary after his injury and the club donates it to charity

The Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic, the Italian star of Milan, made a wonderful gesture, after he gave up his salary in March, due to his absence from matches due to the injury he suffered, and the club officials donated the value of the player's salary to charity.

According to the Italian agency "ANSA", the Croatian striker Mandzukic gave up his salary for the month of March, because he was not able to help Milan in their battle for a place in the Champions League.

The Italian agency quoted the president of the club Paolo Scaroni, saying: "An exceptional gesture, which clarifies the ethics and professionalism of Mario Mandzukic and his respect for Milan."

"The salary of the Croatian striker will allow the club to provide more support to the Milan Enterprise Foundation for the benefit of young people in conditions of economic and educational crisis, as sport is a tool for social integration," he added.

The 34-year-old Croatian striker joined the ranks of the Rossoneri during the last winter transfer market, in a free transfer, and fought with the Lombard team only 5 games in all competitions, after the injury he suffered.

It is worth noting that Milan is ranked first in the Italian league this season with 63 points, 11 points behind its neighbor Inter Milan, the leader with 74 points, after 30 rounds of Calcio's lifetime.

Milan is preparing to face its guest star Genoa, Sunday afternoon, at the "San Siro" stadium, in the 31st round of the Italian League.
