Libyan political parties: blocking the elections on December 24th will have serious repercussions

To restore the legitimacy of the Libyan state institutions and respond to the aspirations of the Libyan people to get rid of instability and insecurity.


She stressed that the National Elections Commission would not be affected and its administration would be maintained so that it could lay down and implement all the procedures and entitlements needed to hold the elections on time, warning that any attempt to harm the Commission and its management aims to obstruct and postpone this national entitlement, calling on the Libyan Parliament to adopt the constitutional rule and laws necessary for direct presidential elections Parliament, on the date of next July 1, and the delay in adopting and issuing this will have serious repercussions.


She commended the valuable efforts made by the representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in Libya and his UN team to ensure that these entitlements are held on time, and at a time we support the efforts of the United Nations, we call on them to adhere to the implementation of the agreed road map and the decisions issued by the Security Council in particular.
